Question 3

Both of these videos use a lower-class black representation, and both view them as lazy. For example, in "Ghetto Delta," it shows a black man lounging in the plane "gettin' [his] drink on," and the black man in the Everest College advertisement tells the audience (which appears to be his black friends) that "you spend all day on the phone anyhow." However, the "Ghetto Delta" video is intentionally racist, and exhibits extreme stereotypes of body types, attitudes, likes, and speech. The Everest College advertisement in unintentionally racist as it promotes higher education, but at the same type characterizes the working class black male.
